At Hever Castle Sir David represents the local interest. A feisty and relentless fighter, Sir David knows no fear and will fight on even when the odds are seriously stacked against him. This makes him very hard to beat in combat; he also has the sneaky habit of hiding a spare weapon somewhere about his person … just in case! Sir David’s other characteristic is his temper.
He’s fiery at the best of times but when his nose is put out of joint it’s best to take cover. He’ll throw weapons and equipment around and push squires, who are trying to help him, into the mud. He’ll even throw himself off his horse to get to his rival when his blood is up! If he gets disarmed he’ll not hesitate to resort to fisticuffs if necessary (and once very nearly pulled Sir Steven’s beard off!).
He is however, rather prone to vanity and can irritate his opponents by looking extremely smug when things are going his way. Being from Kent he is of course extremely popular with his supporters at Hever Castle.
Every tilt he takes part in and every challenge of skill are met with roars of approval from the Blue end of the arena.
