JOUSTING TOURNAMENTS AUG 16, 17, 23

History will come to life at Hever Castle this summer as the ‘Knights of Royal England’ gallop in for the annual Jousting Tournaments. More details »

The events promise to make for an entertaining day out for all the family, as mounted knights compete, with breathtaking displays of traditional medieval horsemanship and powerful foot soldiers demonstrate their combat skills.

Visitors will be encouraged to get involved and cheer for their chosen knight, children will have the chance to parade with the knights and their horses and everyone will be able to learn about the weapons and battles of medieval times.

The knights will be on the castle forecourt at 2pm to wait the arrival of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.  The King will  invite visitors to the jousting tournament which will begin in the arena at 2.15pm and will finish at approximately 3.15pm. Plenty of interaction in the arena with children.
