Experience a magical day out at the castle this Christmas when the castle will be festively dressed with sumptuous traditional decorations, sparkling lights and welcoming log fires. As dusk falls, the gardens are transformed into an illuminated winter wonderland with brightly coloured up-lighting and twinkling fairy lights sprinkled throughout the trees.

Step into the snow-dusted Grotto where the festive magic continues, look out for Father Christmas when he appears in the grounds each day on his way to collect the Christmas post and don't forget to say hello to Mrs Claus. Enjoy relaxed Christmas shopping in the beautifully decorated Hever Christmas Shops packed with exciting gift ideas and stocking fillers to delight all ages and tastes. Then make your way to the award-winning restaurants where our chefs will be offering delicious seasonal hot meals, Christmas lunches and mince pies.

Additional festive entertainment for the family at weekends and Christmas Evening Specials adds an extra touch of magic.    At weekends young children can take a short ride on a donkey (£3.00 per child) and meet William the little donkey in his stable. And of course the highlight for all children is the chance to meet Father Christmas when he arrives at his Grotto. Individual visits with Father Christmas in his Grotto must be pre-booked (£10.00 per child plus normal admission cost). Children can also visit Father Christmas in his Cabin without booking (£8.00 per child plus normal admission cost).

The Christmas Evening Specials on 8th – 9th December and 15th – 16th December, from 5.00pm – 9.30pm, are the perfect opportunity to wrap up warm and take an evening walk in the festively lit gardens. Then step inside the castle to enjoy the warmth of log fires and see the seasonally decorated rooms. There’ll also be Father Christmas, the snow-dusted grotto, brass bands and a children’s carousel, plus some last minute Christmas shopping and festive food to make it a magical evening out for all the family.
