
Hever Castle was proud to win with the Bronze Award in the Best UK Unusual Venue Category at the 2009 Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards.
The Gold Award went to Alton Towers and the Silver to Warwick Castle.The Natural History Museum was also shortlisted.
The Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards gala presentation dinner was established in 1988 and is held annually in February each year.
Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine and hosted by Jeremy Vine, this year’s glittering, black-tie occasion was held on Monday 23rd February 2009 at the Novotel London West, with the theme celebrating star quality in International Astronomy Year. The awards event brought together over 600 industry specialists from various sectors of the business to reward excellence of service and product. The M&IT Awards represent a truly democratic process with only event organisers able to vote and record votes cast this year. As well asenjoying fine food, wine and fantastic live entertainment, members alsoraised over £60,000 of funds for Save the Children. Amanda Mealing (Holby City) was delighted to receive the cheque at the end of the evening as the Save the Children representative on the night.
