Dog owners and dog lovers alike are invited to come along to Hever Castle this weekend to enjoy Paws at the Castle, our fun dog show that has become a much-loved annual event.
Taking place at 12:30 and 15:30 on both Saturday and Sunday, each dog show costs only £1 per class to enter and categories include Dashing Dog, Beautiful Bitch, Super Senior, Perfect Pup and Ravishing Rescue. Rosettes and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Rescue Dogs’ with a range of animal rescue charities taking part to show just how fabulous these canines are.
The Siberian Husky Welfare Association will be in attendance with their lovable huskies, as well as representatives from Last Chance Rescue, Dogs Trust and Forever Hounds.
A range of other dog groups will also be displaying, including Guide Dog puppies and Newfs in Action, and of course there’s the popular ‘musical sit’ in which audience members’ dogs are invited to participate.
Over the weekend owners can talk to experts about their dog’s behaviour and browse the wide variety of stalls selling dog related goodies and accessories.
Hever Castle & Gardens has always welcomed dogs on leads and visitors are encouraged to bring along their pooches to enjoy the day. The extensive grounds and stunning Lake provide the perfect opportunities for dog walks when not watching the entertainment.
For more information and timings of the canine entertainment please see the Paws at the Castle What’s On page.
