Half Term Fun at Hever Castle

February 06 2015 | Castle Garden What's on

LIving with Birds 02

Half Term fun at Hever Castle from 14 – 22 February. Bring the kids and enjoy spotting birds on our garden trail, make a bird feeder to attract different varieties to your own garden, and take part in a Tudor bird quiz in the Castle. If you have any energy left then be sure to enjoy the stunning Snowdrop Walk!

Tying in with National Nest Box Week, our Living with Birds event will teach kids about birds and their nesting habits. Bird and nature expert, Tim Christian, will be taking a bird box building workshop that can be booked on the day at the Information Centre for an additional cost. Encourage birds into your garden with your own bird box, or take part in our free craft activity to make a bird feeder.

Keep warm in the Castle with a quiz to discover how birds were significant in Tudor times, and enjoy a warming lunch in our restaurants.

Our snowdrop walk provides a wonderful opportunity to stroll through the grounds and enjoy the first signs of spring. We recommend that you wear suitable footwear such as Wellington boots as the ground may be boggy in places.
