There is plenty for children to do »
School and student groups must pre-book to guarantee entry, as numbers have to be limited. Please telephone 01732 861701 to discuss your particular group’s requirements.
For Years 1, 2 and 3 one supervisory teacher or adult is needed to accompany every 6 children.
For Year 4 and above one teacher or adult is needed for every 10 children.
All student groups up to the age of 19 must also have one teacher or adult for every 10 students.
These supervisory adults are admitted free of charge. They must accompany their group the whole time whilst at Hever Castle and Gardens for safety reasons and for the comfort of all our visitors.
Castle & Gardens Private Guided Tours can be pre-booked for your group and are available in a number of different languages.
Children's Castle Audio Tour now available in English only. The tour is suitable for children aged 7-12 years, lasts for approximately 45 mins - 1hour and includes a fun interactive quiz. Cost per unit £3.00 for groups of 15+.

Meet a guide in the Miniature Houses exhibition who will explain about the day to day life in a Medieval House using the 1:12 scale model as an example.
A chance for children to dress up in simple cloaks to transform them into ‘Tudors’ while they walk round the Castle. A costumed guide will help them discover more about Tudor life, particularly the lives of the Boleyn Family, and Henry VIII’s courtship and tumultuous marriage to Anne Boleyn, the intriguing mother of Elizabeth I.
Take the Tudor Life Trail on a hunt around the Gardens for clues to solve the cryptic puzzle.
