Hever Castle in Spring

We are sure that you’ll find lots to see and do in the Castle and Gardens, and within these pages you will see everything you need to plan your visit, from opening times, prices and access details to shopping and where to eat or drink.

We welcome groups - both large and small (minimum of 15 people) and for information particular to your needs please visit the Group Visits page.

To allow enough time to enjoy all Hever Castle and Gardens has to offer, we suggest you allow about 4 ½ hours for your visit.

Yew Maze
- The yew maze is open daily from March until October (weather permitting).

Water Maze - The water maze is open daily from 29 March until October (weather permitting).


Boat Hire
: These are available for hire from the boathouse on the lakeside near the Loggia. The boats are available at weekends, bank holidays and school holidays 5 April to 21 September (depending on weather conditions). Please note throughout the Triathlon Weekend (27-28 September) there will be no rowing boats for hire. Opening times 11am - 5pm.

Rowing Boats - £14 for up to 1 hour. Maximum 6 people.

Canoes - £10 for up to 1 hour. Minimum age 14 years.

The African Queen Steamboat Trip - £5 adult/£4.50 child (1-15 years), under 1 year free. Approx. 20 minute trip

Private charter for public trips - £250 for first hour, then £150 per hour

Private charter for weddings - £350 for first hour, then £150 per hour

Have-a-go-archery is available during school holidays and at weekends from March until the end of October. There is a small fee for arrows.
