The Astor Wing
The Astor Wing, formerly referred to as "The Tudor Village" is licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships all year round. It offers peace, privacy and seclusion in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England with the Castle as a stunning backdrop for photographs.
For the ceremony, the oak panelled Tudor Suite Sitting Room overlooking the Castle and formal lawns, provides the perfect ambience for your special day. Reception drinks can be taken within the Astor Wing or, weather permitting, on the Tudor Suite lawns overlooking the croquet lawn and moat. The Tudor Suite Dining Room, again shrouded with oak panelling and boasting a magnificent fire place, can accommodate up to 64 guests for your wedding breakfast. If an evening reception is required, The Moat Restaurant can be transformed into spacious venue for music and dancing for up to 120 guests.

Summer months will see the Award Winning Italian Gardens come to life as civil ceremonies and civil partnerships take place under the beautiful arched columns of the Italian Loggia overlooking the 38 acre lake. This magical lakeside location can also be extended to your drinks reception where guests can take in the views from the stone piazza complete with our very own inspired Trevi fountain. A short walk away is the Guthrie Pavilion. Extensively refurbished in Palladian style, the vaulted ceilings and full length arched windows make for a light and airy atmosphere from day into night without losing the romantic backdrop of the lake and gardens. During the winter (select dates in December, January and February) it is possible to conduct a civil ceremony or civil partnership in the Castle Inner Hall. The splendour of this magnificent room boasts ornate panelling and carved columns in Italian walnut. There is an impressive gallery inspired by Kings College Chapel Cambridge and a fine collection of antique furniture, original paintings and a splendid working fireplace for a roaring log fire. The Castle Great Hall, where Henry VIII would have dined when he visited Anne Boleyn, can be booked for your wedding breakfast following the ceremony, again offering a welcoming fireplace and an elaborately carved Minstrels Gallery.
