Cancer Research UK is Hever’s Charity of the Year 2025

March 18 2025 | Castle Garden

Hever Castle pledges its support for Cancer Research UK as Charity of the Year 2025. The historic attraction will be fundraising for the charity in 2025 until the end of the Christmas event in January 2026. Visitors will have the opportunity to add a donation when booking tickets online and can contribute throughout the year via collection boxes on-site.

To launch the partnership, staff participated in a photoshoot outside the historic Castle donning colourful Cancer Research UK tee shirts as they pledge to help raise funds for the charity by participating in fundraising events throughout the year. Emily Moffatt, Relationship Manager for Kent & East Sussex at Cancer Research UK, commented: “We are delighted to be named Hever Castle’s Charity of the Year for 2025. The generosity of visitors to this stunning and historic Kent attraction, alongside the dedicated efforts of the Hever Castle team, will play a vital role in funding groundbreaking research to help us beat cancer.”

In previous years, visitors to Hever Castle have generously supported various charities, raising over £16,000 in 2024 for the British Heart Foundation and nearly £20,000 in total for Hospice in the Weald and the Alzheimer’s Society in 2023.

Sarah Cole, Marketing & Communications Manager at Hever Castle commented: “Hever Castle looks forward to a successful partnership with Cancer Research UK and encourages all visitors to participate in the fundraising efforts throughout 2025.”
