Ceremonies is the subject of #WeddingWednesdays with Historic Houses.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. So with this in mind, Hever Castle is proud to offer a selection of award-winning Kent wedding spaces for whatever ceremony you have in mind.

Whether it’s the stately grandeur of the Castle itself, the classic, country house atmosphere of the Astor Wing or the stunning lakeside location of the Italian Garden, Hever Castle offers a Kent wedding venue to suit all your wedding day dreams.

Castle ceremonies:

The romantic double moated castle was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.

Hever Castle has a rich and varied history, dating back centuries. Now its splendid panelled rooms contain fine antique furniture, tapestries and a unique collection of Tudor portraits.

The Inner Hall, with ornate panelling and richly carved columns made of Italian walnut, can accommodate up to a maximum of 60 guests for castle wedding ceremonies: 50 seated and 10 standing.

The Inner Hall is available to book during the day for ceremonies on days when the castle is closed to the public, or for evening ceremonies, between 6.30pm and 8pm.

Astor Wing ceremonies:

Always dreamt of a country wedding? The Astor Wing is a charming Edwardian wing of Hever Castle, designed in Tudor style, commissioned by former owner William Waldorf Astor in 1903.

Craftsman used original Tudor tools in order to retain the authenticity of the Tudor era. The result is a series of beautiful Tudor style buildings joined to Hever Castle, offering magnificent oak panelling, ornate fireplaces, antique furnishings and an eclectic art collection.

Today, ceremonies in the Astor Wing offers an ‘Exclusive Use’ venue in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England.

Italian Garden ceremonies:

An Italian Garden Wedding is hosted in the stunning surrounds of the beautiful gardens at Hever, utilising the lakeside ‘Loggia’ for ceremonies.

It is a magnificent area of the gardens, designed to display William Waldorf Astor’s fine collection of Italian sculpture.

Summer months see the Award Winning Italian Garden come to life. Afternoon wedding ceremonies take place under the beautiful arched columns of the Italian Loggia overlooking the 38 acre lake.
