On Friday the 13 of May, golf captain Mike Swan completed his 10 day charity bike ride in aid of DEBRA. To date he has raised an amazing £3,085 for his nominated charity!
Mike is one of the golf captains for Hever Castle Golf Club located a mile from the Castle.
DEBRA is a national charity supporting those directly affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). A potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering. DEBRA supports those affected by providing lifelong care and support.
Mike’s impressive bike ride spanned 853 miles across 10 days from Caen to Nice in France. In total he climbed an astounding 60298ft.
“It has been rather tough but every time we were struggling it has been humbling to think of how the patients with EB suffer every day. I want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who has donated so generously”
If you would like to donate to Mike’s charity then head to his JustGiving page here.
WELL DONE MIKE
