The Christmas season is the perfect opportunity to take a festive stroll around Hever Castle’s Gardens, as well as to enjoy relaxed shopping in the gift shops and sample delicious seasonal food and drink in the cafe.
Experience beautifully decorated rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees as you make your way around the Castle. Please note that arrival times are to be agreed upon with our Groups Coordinator.
Christmas in the Land of Oz promises to be a delight for all ages, giving visitors the chance to follow the yellow brick road as they take a magical journey along a special trail, meeting favourite characters along the way.
The magical Christmas Lights experience starts from 4pm, as darkness falls, when you can wrap up warm and step into a world of wonder, seeing the Castle, gardens and lake bathed in amazing washes of colour. Throughout your visit, you will also discover music and interactive areas in parts of the grounds.
Snap up the chance to take photos among the decorations, or interact with the light displays which illuminate different trees throughout the grounds.

Hever Castle has played host to many important events and celebrations for over 600 years. In 1903 when William Waldorf Astor set about restoring Hever Castle to its former glory, he added the Astor Wing, to accommodate his family and guests, before creating a lake and the spectacular Italian Garden to house his impressive collection of ancient Greek and Roman statuary.
