outdoor theatreFestival Theatre Postpones 2020 Season

Due to government guidelines relating to COVID-19, it is with sadness that the Festival Theatre has announced that they will be postponing the 2020 Hever Festival Season.

They have been overwhelmed by the messages of support, however, their overriding concerns remain for the wellbeing of their audiences, their supporters and the Festival team, many of whom are volunteers, not to mention the musicians and performers.

The Festival has been in existence for 38 years, postponement this year is devastating but the show will go on and they plan to be back next year, bigger and better.

Most of the 2020 Season events have been moved and are confirmed for 2021.

Take a look at the Festival Theatre performance page for the new dates. If the event you have tickets for does not currently appear on this list they will be in touch with you individually as soon as they can confirm the revised date.

Here is how they are currently managing their 2020 audience members tickets:

If you do not want to or are unable to attend in 2021 they are asking if you would kindly consider donating all or part of the value of your ticket instead of requesting a refund. This will ensure that Hever Festival can remain resilient in the face of the current crisis and return confidently in 2021 and beyond.

The Festival Theatre is an open air venue set in the gardens of Hever Castle. Located on the Two Sisters Lawn adjacent to Anne Boleyn Walk, the Theatre is surrounded by delightful flower beds and an abundance of ornamental trees; it also contains the picturesque Two Sisters pond and a magnificent Tulip Tree.

The Summer Festival presents a wide selection of shows with something to suit all ages and most tastes. The stage is fully covered, and the seating tiered, with the vast majority of seats also undercover.
