Halloween at Hever Castle kicks off this Saturday 19th October with our half-term family event running daily until Thursday 31st October.

The castle and grounds are dressed to impress so don your scariest Halloween costume and come and join the fun! Join the spooky storytelling, take part in the Halloween craft activity, follow the scarecrow scavenger hunt around the grounds and sink your teeth into a sweet treat at the deadly delicious biscuit decorating workshop* (*small additional charge).


Step into the Castle and let your little ones find the hidden bats. Meanwhile you will have the chance to read up on gruesome Victorian tales!

With prizes for the scariest costumes, a visit to Hever Castle is sure to be spine-tingling fun for all the family

Spooky Storytelling – FREE
Listen to ghoulish tales in the ghost catchers lair – suitable for all ages.
Times: Daily, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30

Fancy Dress Competition – FREE
The winner will be announced after Spooky Storytelling.
Times: Daily, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30

Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt – FREE
The scarecrow seems to have broken apart! Hunt for the various parts and spell out a creepy word and get a spook-tacular prize from the Information Centre.

Halloween Craft – FREE
Plant a clove of garlic in an eco-friendly cup and decorate it with Halloween stickers.
Times: Daily, 11:00 – 16:00

Deadly Delicious Decorating – £2.00pp
Let your little ones ice and decorate a ghoulish biscuit.
Times: Daily, 11:00 – 16:00

Gruesome Victorian Tales (for the grown ups) – FREE (Castle ticket required)
Wander round the Castle and read interesting, but scary tales of Victorian times.
Times: Daily, 12:00 – 17:00

Spot the Bats (for the little ones) – FREE (Castle ticket required)
See if your kids can spot the bats hidden within the Castle.
Times: Daily, 12:00 – 17:00

Face Painting – £4.00
Come and get your face painted by the fabulous Betty and her team.
Times: Daily (with the exception of Sat 19 October), 11:00 – 16:00
