Hever Castle has been named a finalist in the prestigious School Travel Awards 2025 for the fifth year in a row! Competing in the ‘Best Historic Attraction or Venue’ category, this recognition underscores our commitment to providing enriching and educational experiences for school groups.
Hever Castle, steeped in over 600 years of history, offers an immersive journey into the past. As the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII and mother of Queen Elizabeth I, the castle is a treasure trove of history. Our meticulously maintained gardens and fun play areas and mazes provide a captivating backdrop for learning outside the classroom.
Being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who strive to make every visit to Hever Castle both informative and enjoyable. Our educational programs are designed to align with the National Curriculum, ensuring that students gain valuable insights into Tudor, Medieval, Roman or WWII history. Through hands-on activities, guided tours, and specialised workshops, we aim to inspire a love of learning in students of all ages.
The School Travel Awards, organised by School Travel Organiser, celebrate excellence in educational travel, and we are honored to be considered among the best historic attractions in the UK. This recognition highlights our ongoing efforts to provide exceptional educational experiences and reinforces our reputation as a premier destination for school trips.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the teachers and school groups who have visited Hever Castle and supported us over the years. Your feedback and enthusiasm drive us to continually improve and innovate our offerings.
Voting for the School Travel Awards is open until Thursday 31st July, and we encourage everyone to support Hever Castle. Together, we can continue to inspire the next generation of historians and learners. For more information and to cast your vote, please visit the voting page.
