Hever Castle is joining Historic Houses by lighting up in support of National Grief Awareness Week.
The historic attraction was lit up yellow at 8pm on 8 December to mark the awareness week (2 – 8 December) which aims to get people to talk about grief in a year when many people have lost loved ones.
Other attractions which took part are Southwell Minster, Newark Castle, Newark Church, Rufford Abbey, Lincoln Cathedral, Worksop Priory, Mansfield Town Hall, Nottinghamshire County Council Venues, Nottingham City Hall and Newstead Abbey.
Julia Samuel, Founder of Child Bereavement UK says: “It isn’t the circumstances of death that will predict a positive or negative outcome, it is the support they get at the time and after the death. This is the key component to anybody finding a way to rebuild their life.”
