Professional golfers take a swing to raise a ‘hole’ lot of money for Sport Relief

Four of our PGA Professional Golfers are attempting a speed golf relay to raise money for Sport Relief. On 23rd March, Sam Pitcairn, Marisa Newman, Elliott Owens and Peter Parks will play 72 holes of golf (four rounds) at the Championship Course at Hever Castle Golf Club, with the aim of completing the challenge in 8 hours.

Head Professional PGA Golfer Peter Parks said: “To put it in perspective, the average time to play 18 holes of golf is normally five hours, so playing 72 holes in only eight hours will be quite an achievement! Golf is a fantastic way of getting outdoors and doing something active – if we can play whilst raising money for charity then it’s even better! It’s brilliant to be involved in Sport Relief this year and help raise as much money as possible for vulnerable people across the UK and in the world’s poorest countries.”

By donating you’ll help people living incredibly tough lives. In fact, half of all the money raised by the public is spent right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities.

If you’re feeling inspired by the team’s monumental task, you can raise money for Sport Relief by donating.
