Hever Castle Raises Over £16k for the British Heart Foundation

Hever Castle & Gardens raised over £16,000 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) their chosen charity of the year in 2024. The historic attraction in Kent raised a total of £16,389 (excluding Gift Aid) across the year from visitor donations and staff fundraising.

Visitors were able to add a donation when they booked a ticket online to Hever Castle and make donations to the charity throughout the year via collection pots on site helping to fund lifesaving research for the BHF.

Staff supported the charitable partnership by wearing red and holding a cake sale during Heart Month in February and took part in fundraising challenges during the year. Heart shaped shortbread was sold in the cafes to raise money for the charity.

Lauren Hearnden, BHF Fundraising Manager for Kent, commented: “We are so grateful that Hever Castle have raised such an incredible amount of money and want to say a heartfelt thank you to all their colleagues for their fantastic fundraising efforts.

“For more than 60 years, the BHF has funded research that has turned ideas that once seemed like ‘science fiction’ into treatments and cures that save lives every day. But millions of people are still waiting for the next breakthrough.

“It is only thanks to the generous support of the public that we can keep research going and discover the treatments and cures of the future.”
