Hever Castle and Hever Castle Festival Theatre are joining in the light it in red campaign to highlight the difficulties the events industry has suffered during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hever Castle, which usually is a popular venue for corporate events, weddings and conferences, was lit red on the evening of Monday 6 July.
Hever Festival Theatre which has entertained crowds with plays, comedy, music and cinema for the past 38 years and has been forced to cancel its 2020 programme was also lit.
And Blue Corner (so called due to the floral planting scheme) in the Italian Garden was turned crimson as part of light it in red.
Companies from all across the events industry, as well as event locations, (event centres, convention centres, conference hotels, theatres, concert halls, playhouses and nightclubs) throughout the UK took part in the light it red campaign.
As well as highlighting the difficulties the events industry has faced the campaign aims to persuade the government to support the events industry financially until things return to normal.
#LightItInRed is a joint project created and managed by Clearsound Productions Ltd, a UK based production company, in partnership with the Backstage Theatre Jobs forum.
