Hever Castle & Gardens has been awarded a prestigious Gold medal for its 125 acre gardens at the South East in Bloom awards.

The South & South East in Bloom is the largest horticultural campaign in the region involving 100’s of communities each year. Participating communities create lasting improvements to their local environment for the benefit of those that live, work and visit.

The South East in Bloom judges scored the stunning grounds 186 out of 200 describing it as “a well maintained garden containing a very wide range of horticultural features rarely seen together on one site.”

There was praise for the herbaceous borders as a great haven for bees as well as the use of volunteers and RHS trainees alongside permanent staff.

Hever Castle has been awarded Gold each year since 2014. We are immensely proud of the gardening team led by Head Gardener, Neil Miller.

As well as the South East in Bloom awards, the team at Hever Castle have won various other awards – discover them here.
