Introducing The William Waldorf Bar, an elegant new addition nestled within Hever Castle’s Luxury Bed and Breakfast. Inspired by the legacy of William Waldorf Astor and the heritage of Hever Castle, the bar offers guests a refined setting to unwind, celebrate and enjoy their stay within one of England’s most celebrated historic estates.
The William Waldorf Bar has been designed as an exclusive retreat for resident guests. Non-resident guests dining at Eden, Hever Castle’s fine dining restaurant opening in June 2026, will also be welcomed for aperitifs, digestifs and coffee service.
While the bar is not part of exclusive use for weddings, corporate events and private dining, each booking will be considered on an individual basis to ensure a seamless guest experience. Where required, alternative bar arrangements can also be made.
Guests can enjoy a carefully curated drinks offering featuring fine wines, expertly crafted cocktails, premium spirits, local beers and ciders, all served in elegant surroundings that complement the charm and character of the historic estate. Highlights include a selection of English sparkling wines served by the glass including Squerryes Brut and Rosé and Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs, an extensive whisky selection, locally produced spirits from Greensand Distillery and Goldstone Rum, who are also distilling the house vodka and gin for Hever Castle and Sipello aperitif, handcrafted in the Surrey hills using Kentish gooseberries.
The bar itself will be managed and run by Connor Turnbull, Hever Castle’s newly appointed Bar Manager, who will oversee day-to-day operations, staff training, service standards, menu development and drink curation. Connor will work alongside the wider hospitality and Astor Wing teams to deliver a seamless guest experience, including room service and out-of-hours assistance where required.

Exclusive to overnight guests and fine dining visitors, The William Waldorf Bar forms part of the unique experience of staying at Hever Castle – combining historic architecture, refined hospitality and exclusive access to one of Britain’s most iconic heritage destinations.
