May half term days out

May 11 2024 | What's on

A visit to Hever Castle during May half term offers something for everyone.

Unleash your artistic side during Art Week (25 May – 2 June).

Become an artist for the day and depict the Castle or gardens in any style, take part in a free art challenge or be inspired by the artists in the grounds. Vote for your favourite artwork depicted by members of Hever Castle staff, look out for pieces of art around the grounds and take part in a free craft workshop.

Meet our actors, as they portray Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci and modernist painter Georgia O’Keeffe.  Join them as they take you on a journey through the grounds, and take part in some art challenges.

Finish off your day by becoming a walking piece of art with a creative face paint (additional charge – weekends only).

There is also the popular Water Maze, the 100 year old Yew Maze, the thrilling Tudor Towers adventure playground, the natural Acorn Dell play area as well as ‘Have-a-Go’ Archery* and boating* on the 38-acre lake (*additional charge, only available during weekends and school holidays).

Visitors can also enjoy a trip into the historic castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and wander around the 150 acre award winning gardens.
