Hannah Hipwell has recently started a counselling service at Hever Castle Health & Wellbeing.
Hannah Hipwell has experience working with a range of presenting issues, including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, Asperger’s, Autism, Bereavement, Abuse and Addiction.
It was while Hannah was working in Arts Marketing that an opportunity came up to mentor students with mental health issues.
Having loved the role she decided to train as a counsellor and trained at the Gestalt Centre in 2013.
In 2015 she started seeing clients and has since worked in the NHS, in education and as a bereavement counsellor for Hospice in the Weald.
Hannah said: “I found it very humbling to work with people experiencing loss and bereavement.”
“I feel like I have had a rounded amount of experience. I can tailor the way I work to suit the client whether it is using a Person Centred Approach which is client led; Psychodynamic, which explores a client’s unconscious processes or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
“Society is moving towards mental health being less of a taboo. Embarking on therapy doesn’t have to mean that there’s something wrong, it can just be for personal development.”
Hannah lives in Chiddingstone and was keen to practise somewhere local and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
She would be able to refer clients on for other services provided by Hever Castle Health and Wellbeing to enable a holistic and rounded approach to wellness.
Sessions with Hannah are 50 minutes long, with an initial session lasting one hour and 15 minutes.
