Meet photographer Chris Jeffery

December 05 2019 | Golf

Walking around Hever Castle Golf & Wellbeing, one mile from the Hever Castle entrance, you are bound to see the work of photographer Chris Jeffery.

Chris has put together three photo galleries, showcasing scenes of the Castle, golf club, meadow flowers, wildlife shots and staff portrait boards in the main entrance, the Health and Wellbeing Centre, and the Business Suite.

He studied physics at Bristol University where he also took a photography course and learnt black and white developing. Chris’ father bought him a camera and his interest in photography grew.

Chris’ first job in hi-tech engineering saw him design fibre optic cable systems, in which light was a big part of the role. He got involved in marketing, then moved to consultancy.

After having enough of the commute into London he decide to pursue a career in photography around 3 years ago.

He now takes corporate photographs for small and large businesses, such as portrait shots as well as images of events and visiting speakers.

Photographer Chris Jeffery also specialises in pet photography, and enjoys taking pictures of his two beautiful rescue greyhounds.

He talks of the “joy I get when I manage to capture some of the magic of the animal.”

The Tonbridge-based photographer also has an interest in wildlife photography.

He and his son have been members of Hever Castle Golf & Wellbeing for 10 years.
