Young golfer Jensen Hull is a rising star of Hever Castle Golf Club. Jensen joined the club aged eight as his dad, Michael was a member.
Among his achievements as a young golfer are earning his first England cap at the Irish Boys’ Amateur Open Championship in June 2018 and reaching the semi-final of the British Boys Amateur Championship in August 2018, with the top 288 juniors from Europe entering.
In his last year as a junior – U18 he finished 5th on the England Order of Merit & 16th in the European Order of Merit, these are determined on your position finished in various national competitions.
The young golfer has been a member of the U18 Regional England squad / 2x year coaching programme (Kent & Sussex) 2016-2018.
At the age of 14 he broke the course record at Hever Castle shooting 67 – 5 under par, and has since broke his own record shooting 66 – 6 under par.
Jensen won the Hever Castle club championship in 2016 & 2018.
He won the West Kent club championship in 2016 & 2017.
The young golfer won Sundridge Park club championship 2018.
He has captained Kent at the following ages U16, U17 & U18 – also leading the Kent U18 to the national Boys county championships in 2018, with Kent finishing second.
Now 18 he is competing in adult amateur competitions. This year so far has seen him compete in amateur competitions in Portugal, Spain and Italy.
Young golfer Jensen has a handicap of +3 and a world ranking of 1,086.
His dedication to the game sees him playing 5-6 hours of the sport a day and going to the gym four times a week.
When he is not on the golf course he works at a driving range in Bromley where he lives and aims to turn professional by the time he is 22.
His ultimate ambition: “world number one.”
Dad Michael said: “When Jensen was eight years old I took him up to the 12th tee and asked him if he would like this as his back garden. He answered: ‘No I would love it.”
