Visitors to Hever Castle can enjoy a tantalising ‘pink afternoon tea’ on the weekend of 21 and 22 October 2017 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The traditional afternoon tea with a twist will feature a variety of finger sandwiches including smoked salmon and cream cheese and Kentish ham and local pear chutney as well as a selection of sweet treats such as a pink macaroon, a strawberry tart, a mini Victoria sponge with raspberry frosting, mini pink meringues and a pink rose wine jelly.
This will all be accompanied with a selection of traditional, fruit and herbal teas or Cafeteire Lazio fairtrade coffee and guests can also add on Prosecco or Champagne to make it an extra treat.
The afternoon tea will be served in the Anne Boleyn Wing with views across the orchard to the Castle on Saturday 21 October and Sunday 22 October 2017 only, in support of the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
The extra special afternoon tea costs £19.50 per person with 50% of the price and 50% of the admission ticket being donated to the Pink Ribbon Foundation. Pink afternoon teas must be pre-booked and admission tickets to the grounds are also required.
Lisa Allen, Pink Ribbon Foundation said: “We thank the team at Hever Castle for supporting the Pink Ribbon Foundation during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Working together with staff and customers we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and vital funds to fight breast cancer. We hope that you all enjoy the wonderful Pink Ribbon afternoon tea provided and we thank you for your support.”
