Hever Castle supports local homeless charity Porchlight this Christmas

Young visitors to Hever Castle this Christmas can help those suffering from homelessness in the local area by taking part in a festive craft activity.

Children coming to Christmas at the Castle have the chance to create a mini angel in return for a donation to local homeless charity, Porchlight.

Working across Kent and the south east, Porchlight helps vulnerable and isolated people get support with their mental health, housing, education and employment.

Chris Thomas from Porchlight said: “We’re really grateful that Hever Castle and its visitors are joining us in the fight against homelessness. And this event is a great way to get involved.

“In Kent, more people than ever before are becoming homeless. We’re trying to reach everyone who needs us but can’t do it without the public’s support to help fund our lifesaving services.”

The theme of this year’s event is the history of Christmas carols with other activities including a Twelve Days of Christmas trail, a chance to see twinkling lights and crackling log fires in the Castle and spectacular lit up grounds. Visit Wed-Sun from 25 November to 10 December and daily from 11 December to 24 December for Christmas at Hever Castle.
