Recently refurbished to create a more customer-friendly service area, the Moat Restaurant at Hever Castle is once again open for business.
With a new collection area for hot drinks and all hot food orders brought directly to your table, the ordering process has been streamlined to increase efficiency. During busy periods the additional new ‘express till’ ensures a greater number of customers can be served.
The revamped layout has been met with an overwhelmingly favourable response from customers. Leith’s at Hever Castle general manager, Ian Goodwin, said: “we have already seen a positive difference in how the ordering process works. Our customers are enjoying the more ergonomic format which allows a better flow, easier ordering and faster service as well as our enticing new food offers.”
Also updated during the renovation were the toilets and baby change facilities in the restaurant. Customers now enter this section from the seating area and benefit from increased space within the toilet cubicles themselves as well as baby change facilities situated in the women’s, men’s and disabled loos.
Customers of the Moat Restaurant will also appreciate the new Jumbrellas covering the outdoor seating area. These oversized umbrellas complete with heaters will help ensure meals can be enjoyed al fresco whatever the weather.
An interesting side note, as part of Hever Castle’s many green initiatives, the leftover coffee grounds are used in the gardens to help keep slugs and snails away from the dahlias.
The Moat Restaurant at Hever Castle is open daily, with hot food served from 12noon – 3pm.
