Take Home a Piece of Capturing a Queen

Visitors captivated by Hever Castle’s acclaimed Capturing a Queen exhibition can now take home a piece of the experience thanks to an exclusive new merchandise collection created especially for the Castle.

Designed by Hever Castle’s talented in-house retail and marketing teams, the bespoke range has been inspired by artwork featured in the exhibition and the striking cover design of the accompanying exhibition catalogue. Every item has been produced exclusively for Hever Castle by trusted UK-based suppliers with whom the Castle has enjoyed longstanding relationships over the past decade.

The collection features a variety of practical keepsakes, including tote bags, coasters, keyrings, tea towels, prints and postcards, allowing visitors to celebrate the exhibition long after their visit.

Ashley Collins, Head of Retail at Hever Castle, said: “These are all useful products inspired by the current exhibition in the Castle. In my nearly 20 years working at Hever Castle, we have created many unique merchandise collections celebrating special events, exhibitions and treasured items on display within the Castle. One of our most popular ranges was inspired by Anne Boleyn’s prayer book, the Book of Hours, and we are delighted to continue that tradition with this latest collection.”

The range has already proved popular with visitors, with the stylish tote bags, priced at just £20, looking set to become one of the best-selling items. Exhibition prints have also attracted strong interest, particularly from international visitors, with many purchases being made online by customers in the United States.

The Capturing a Queen exhibition catalogue continues to be a standout success, with more than 400 copies sold since its launch in February.

Developing the collection was a collaborative process that took several months, with Ashley working closely alongside specialist suppliers including Judges, Jigsaw and King & McGaw. The project was also made possible thanks to the generosity of the owners of loaned exhibition pieces, who granted permission for selected artworks to be reproduced as prints and postcards.

Looking ahead, visitors can expect even more exciting additions to the Hever Castle retail offering. Plans are already underway for a vibrant, pop-art-inspired Anne Boleyn collection featuring bold colours and contemporary designs aimed at younger audiences. A commemorative range of T-shirts will also be launched this summer to celebrate the 40th anniversary of jousting at Hever Castle.

With its combination of history, creativity and exclusive design, the Capturing a Queen collection offers visitors a unique way to remember one of the Castle’s most celebrated exhibitions.
