You have booked your tickets and you are all set for Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle, read our top tips for making the most of your evening.
Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle runs from 6pm to 9.30pm on 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 and 23 December but attractions, shops and eateries will start closing before the final exit time.
How long it takes and what to wear:
To enjoy the full experience of Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle we recommend you allow three hours for your visit.
As much of this experience is outdoors we recommend you wrap up warm, pop on your wellies or suitable shoes and bring torches as it will be dark in places.
• Included in all Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle tickets booked are three tickets per person for the fairground which includes the Carousel, Hoopla and Coconut Shy so don’t forget to visit these on the Castle forecourt.
• You will be given your complimentary tickets when you arrive at the ticket huts. Should you want to buy any more they are £1 a go.
Food and drink:
There are a variety of food and drink options available at Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle from mulled wine and hot drinks, pizza, a hog roast and the Moat Restaurant, Pavilion Restaurant and Loggia Bar will also be open. See opening times and locations here.
If you have not purchased tickets for the pre-booked grotto, drop in Father Christmas is available on a first come first served basis from 6.30pm to 8.45pm at a cost of £8.50 per child. Visitors can see Father Christmas in his toy workshop and receive an age appropriate gift. Tickets are available on the day from the Information Centre or Courtyard Shop.
The Alice in Wonderland Trail:
Enjoy the magic of the Alice in Wonderful trail at Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle and meet interactive characters such as the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and the King and Queen of Hearts. The Duchess will also be making a special appearance at Twilight evenings and red hearts and playing cards will be projected onto the Castle.
Castle and grounds:
• Be captivated by the rooms of the Castle which will be traditionally decorated with twinkling lights and welcoming log fires.
• The stunning gardens will be transformed into a festive wonderland with up-lighting and colour washes.
Visit the huskies:
During Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle visitors will also have a chance to pose for a picture with a husky (suggested £2 donation towards Siberian Husky Welfare Association) on the Loggia with the backdrop of the Hever Lake, magically lit up.
Finish your Twilight Christmas at Hever Castle evening with a visit to the Hever Shop to stock up on Christmas gifts as well as variety of tempting local food and drink.
