Staff from Hever Castle have been giving up their time to give a makeover to the garden at Edenbridge and District War Memorial Hospital.
Volunteers from departments including gardening, marketing, Hever Castle’s bed and breakfast and the Castle have taken on tasks including cutting back the overgrown shrubs and trees, cleaning the patio of weeds and moss and re-potting and re-using the planters as part of the hospital garden makeover.
Landscape gardener Andrew Thorn also donated some plants to the hospital garden makeover.
Matron Becky Thompson said: “Thank you to the Hever Castle gardeners, it really does look so much better. The clients in the day centre are so pleased with it and can’t wait for some better weather to get back out there and enjoy it. In the meantime, just to be able to look out there and see how nice it looks now is great and a real boost for their health and wellbeing.”
