On Friday 21 October staff at Hever Castle & Gardens and Hever Castle Golf Club took part in Wear it Pink day in support of Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity.
Held as part of breast cancer awareness month, the event raises vital funds to support breast cancer researchers across the UK and Ireland.
Hever Castle’s Wear it Pink organiser, Maree Pickford, said: “Who doesn’t love an excuse to wear pink to work and what better way to do it than by supporting life-saving research. Breast Cancer Now is playing a vital role in the fight against cancer and we felt compelled to do our bit.”
Breast Cancer Now’s goal is to ensure that by 2050 no one dies from breast cancer – which is currently the most common cancer in the UK – and the team at Hever Castle is proud to have played a small part in that.
