Castle Wedding Breakfasts:
The romantic double moated castle was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.
Hever Castle has a rich and varied history, dating back centuries. Now its splendid panelled rooms contain fine antique furniture, tapestries and a unique collection of Tudor portraits.
The Dining Hall in the Castle boasts an elaborately carved Minstrels Gallery resting on a series of carved musicians and an impressive stone fireplace surmounted by the Boleyn coat of arms. This accommodates up to a maximum of 40 guests for a castle wedding breakfast, seated on impressive long banqueting tables. The Dining Hall is available during the day when the castle is closed to the public or evenings after 6.30pm.
Astor Wing Wedding Breakfasts:
The Astor Wing is a charming Edwardian wing of Hever Castle, designed in Tudor style, commissioned by former owner William Waldorf Astor in 1903.
Craftsman used original Tudor tools in order to retain the authenticity of the Tudor era. The result is a series of beautiful Tudor style buildings joined to Hever Castle, offering magnificent oak panelling, ornate fireplaces, antique furnishings and an eclectic art collection.
Today, the Astor Wing offers an ‘Exclusive Use’ venue in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England.
Reception drinks are taken in the Music Room, or, weather permitting, on the Tudor Suite Terrace overlooking the croquet lawn and moat. The Tudor Suite Dining Room, shrouded with oak panelling and boasting a magnificent fireplace, can accommodate up to 70 guests for a wedding breakfast.
An evening reception for dancing and a licensed bar can be held in the Moat Restaurant, accommodating up to 120 guests until midnight. Wedding guests will be escorted from the castle to the Moat Restaurant via the Castle drawbridge and forecourt. En route guests will experience the beauty of the estate at a time when all the day visitors have departed. The flood lit castle therefore provides a stunning back drop to your evening reception as dusk falls.
