Stuck for wedding venue ideas? The Astor Wing is a charming Edwardian wing of Hever Castle, designed in Tudor style, commissioned by William Waldorf Astor in 1903. Craftsman used original Tudor tools in order to retain the authenticity of the Tudor era. The result is a series of beautiful Tudor style buildings joined to Hever Castle, offering magnificent oak panelling, ornate fireplaces, antique furnishings and an eclectic art collection. Today, the Astor Wing offers an ‘Exclusive Use’ venue in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England.
The function space within the Astor Wing is formed of three interconnecting rooms known as the Tudor Suite. Oak panelled throughout, discover the unparalleled views of the Castle, moat and gardens. Leaded windows fill the rooms with light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for your wedding.
The Tudor Suite Sitting Room, overlooking the Castle and formal lawns, provides the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony for up to 60 guests. Reception drinks are taken in the Music Room, or, weather permitting, explore the Tudor Suite Terrace overlooking the croquet lawn and moat.
The Tudor Suite Dining Room, shrouded with oak panelling and boasting a magnificent fireplace, can accommodate up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast.
An evening reception for dancing and a licensed bar can be held in the Moat Restaurant, accommodating up to 120 guests until midnight. Wedding guests will be escorted from the castle to the Moat Restaurant via the Castle drawbridge and forecourt. En route guests will experience the beauty of the estate at a time when all the day visitors have departed. The floodlit castle provides a stunning backdrop to your evening reception as dusk falls.
