Burns Night Dine & Stay
January 27 & 28
Hever Castle Luxury Bed and Breakfast will be hosting its first Burns Night celebration on Friday 27th January 2017. This spectacular event will combine an overnight stay in five star luxury accommodation with a tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns.

Living with Birds – half term event!
February 11 – 19 
Celebrate British garden birds during the February half term holiday in this fun family event in conjunction with the RSPB. Coinciding with National Nest Box Week, visitors can learn how to help birds nest, survive and thrive in their gardens at home.

Snowdrop Walk 
From February 11 
Follow a trail of thousands of snowdrops starting to emerge from their winter hibernation on our Snowdrop Walk – the first sign that spring is just around the corner. Then stroll through the gardens and enjoy the early blossoms of camellia and quince.

Mother’s Day Weekend
March 25 & 26 
Spoil mum on Mother’s Day weekend with a memorable family day out. Treat her to a delicious meal or simply enjoy quality time together in the Castle and Gardens.

Easter Family Fun – half term event!
April 1 – 17 
Enjoy family entertainment throughout the Easter holidays including an Easter bunny hunt, Easter trail, bonnet making workshop and best bonnet parade.

St Georges Day
April 23
Celebrate St George’s Day at Hever Castle & Gardens.

Tulip Celebrations
April 24 – May 7* 
Be uplifted by 7000 tulip bulbs proudly standing to attention and providing a visual feast of spring colour. Guided tours of the tulips available with head gardener Neil Miller. *Excluding Bank Holiday weekend. 

May Day Festival
April 29 – May 1 
Traditional celebrations to welcome in the spring from the mythical Green Man of folklore and Jack-in-the-Green plus Maypole dancing on the Castle forecourt.

Edwardian Life – half term event!
May 27 – June 4 
During Hever Castle’s Edwardian Life you can meet costumed characters from the Edwardian era and play traditional games of the period. Prizes for the best dressed Edwardian boy and girl.

Father’s Day
June 18
Say thank you this Father’s Day with a memorable day out at Hever Castle & Gardens.

Hever’s Home Front
June 24 & 25
Discover what life and work was like during the Second World War in our Hever’s Home Front event. Visit the tea dance tent, explore vintage stalls and learn to swing-dance. Come in 1940’s dress and round the day off with a traditional afternoon tea.

Hever in Bloom
June 26 – July 2 
Throughout Hever in Bloom experience the quintessential English Rose Garden at the height of its summer beauty with guided tours of the award-winning Gardens. Many of the Castle rooms will be filled with English floral arrangements created by our florist.

Summer Jousting Tournaments Begins – summer holiday event!
July 15 & 16 
The Knights of Royal England return to battle it out at the annual Jousting Tournament. Spectators will be treated to a thrilling display of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena complete with Royal Box.

Enjoy a weekend dedicated to our canine friends with informative displays, entertainment and a fun dog show.

Hop through History & Jousting – summer holiday event!
August 26 – 28 
Tudor encampment, re-enactments and stalls with more thrills and spills as our brave knights compete in this year’s Jousting Tournament over the Bank Holiday.

Handmade & Homegrown Festival – summer holiday event!
September 1 – 3 
Celebrate all things handmade and homegrown in the heart of the glorious Kent countryside and browse and sample the work of local artisans.

Autumn Colour Trail 
From October 1
Dazzling colours throughout Hever Castle Gardens and Grounds make it a must-visit venue this autumn. As the gardens turn vibrant shades of red, pink and gold and the leaves tumble from the trees, it’s the perfect time to head to the romantic castle in Kent for a walk with the family.

Halloween Half Term Fun – half term event!
October 21 – 29 
Treat the children to a spine-tingling programme of entertainment over the Halloween Half Term break with prizes for the best Halloween costumes.

WINTER 2017/2018 EVENTS 

Christmas at the Castle 
November 25 – December 24
Beautifully decorated Castle rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees celebrating the traditions of Christmas. Bring the children to meet Father Christmas, enjoy relaxed Christmas shopping in the Gift Shops, and sample delicious festive food in the restaurants. As dusk falls, the gardens are magically illuminated with up-lighting and colour washes.

Winter Walks
December 27 – January 1 
Wrap up warm and blow away the cobwebs, walk off the Christmas pudding and enjoy winter walks in the stunning Hever Castle gardens.
