From February 9
Follow a trail of thousands of snowdrops starting to emerge from their winter hibernation on our Snowdrop Walk – the first sign that spring is just around the corner. Then stroll through the gardens and enjoy the early blossoms of camellia and quince.
Valentine’s Dine & Stay
14 & 15 February
Celebrate Valentine’s Day this February with a special stay at the historic Castle where Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn fell in love. What better way to say ‘I love you’ than to treat your partner to a special Dine and Stay package in the very place where Henry VIII came courting Anne Boleyn?
Living with Nature – half term event!
February 16 – 24
Discover more about conservation and local wildlife as part of Hever Castle’s February half-term event, Living with Nature. Follow the ‘Wildlife Detective’ walk led by the gardening team to investigate animal footprints and tracks, take part in a wildlife workshop or a follow the fun facts in a trail around the Castle.
March 20 – 24
Visitors will feel uplifted this spring during Hever Castle’s new Dazzling Daffodils event. With 14,000 daffodil bulbs set to bloom across the gardens, there will be a wide range of varieties to enjoy.
Mother’s Day Weekend
March 30 & 31
Spoil mum on Mother’s Day weekend with a memorable family day out. Treat her to a delicious meal or simply enjoy quality time together in the Castle and Gardens.
Easter Family Fun – half term event!

Enjoy family entertainment throughout the Easter holidays including an Easter bunny hunt, Easter trail, bonnet making workshop and best bonnet parade.

Be uplifted by 20,000 tulip bulbs proudly standing to attention and providing a visual feast of spring colour. Free daily tours with the gardeners can be enjoyed as well as tulip floral arrangements in the Castle.
May Day Festival
May 4 – 6
Traditional celebrations to welcome in the spring from the mythical Green Man of folklore and Jack-in-the-Green plus Maypole dancing on the Castle forecourt.
Edwardian Life – half term event!
May 25 – June 2
During Hever Castle’s Edwardian Life you can meet costumed characters from the Edwardian era and play traditional games of the period. Prizes for the best dressed Edwardian boy and girl.

Hever’s Home Front
June 22 & 23
Discover what life and work was like during the Second World War in our Hever’s Home Front event. Visit the tea dance tent, explore vintage stalls and learn to swing-dance. Come in 1940’s dress and round the day off with a traditional afternoon tea.
Hever in Bloom
June 25 – June 30
Throughout Hever in Bloom experience the quintessential English Rose Garden at the height of its summer beauty with guided tours of the award-winning Gardens. Many of the Castle rooms will be filled with English floral arrangements created by our florist.
Summer Jousting Tournaments – summer holiday event!

The Knights of Royal England return to battle it out at the annual Jousting Tournament. Spectators will be treated to a thrilling display of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena complete with Royal Box.
Castle Canines – summer holiday event!

Enjoy a weekend dedicated to our canine friends with informative displays, entertainment and a fun dog show.
Journey through History & Jousting – summer holiday event!

Tudor encampment, re-enactments and stalls with more thrills and spills as our brave knights compete in this year’s Jousting Tournament over the Bank Holiday.

Discover around 120 exhibitors from the UK’s finest designer makers and contemporary artists at a craft fair based in the heart of the Kentish countryside.
Autumn Colour Trail
From October 1
Dazzling colours throughout Hever Castle Gardens and Grounds make it a must-visit venue this autumn. As the gardens turn vibrant shades of red, pink and gold and the leaves tumble from the trees, it’s the perfect time to head to the romantic castle in Kent for a walk with the family.
Halloween Half Term Fun – half term event!

Treat the children to a spine-tingling programme of entertainment over the Halloween Half Term break with prizes for the best Halloween costumes.
Christmas at the Castle
November 23 – December 24
Beautifully decorated Castle rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees celebrating Christmas. Bring the children to meet Father Christmas, enjoy relaxed Christmas shopping in the Gift Shops, and sample delicious festive food in the restaurants. As dusk falls, the gardens are magically illuminated with up-lighting and colour washes.

Wrap up warm and blow away the cobwebs, walk off the Christmas pudding and enjoy winter walks in the stunning Hever Castle gardens.
