Watch the Knights of Royal England battle it out at the annual Hever Castle Jousting Tournament. Spectators will be treated to a thrilling show as the brave knights compete for points to find this season’s champion. Witness spectacular displays of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena complete with Royal Box. Jousting is taking place on the following dates:
August: 9, 10, 16, 17, 22 – 25, 30, 31

The Seas of Time is a daily activity and begins at 11:30, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 on the Winter Lawn.
Jousting is taking place on the following dates: August: 9, 10, 16, 17, 22 – 25, 30, 31
Falconry is taking place on the following dates: August: 9, 10, 14-17, 21-25, 29-31. The displays last about 20 minutes and happen twice a day at 11:30 and 15:30.
Plus, don’t forget about the Water Maze, Yew Maze, Play Areas, Miniature Model Houses and Military Museum. All of this is included with your admission ticket!
Archery and Boating are also available this summer for an additional cost.
Head to Hever Castle in September for a contemporary craft fair organised by Craft In Focus. Over the four days, you will be able to discover over 150 exhibitors from the UK’s finest designer makers and contemporary artists at this craft fair based in the heart of the Kentish countryside.
Craft in Focus have chosen specific designers for their individuality and innovation in contemporary design so you will be exposed to a whole host of British talent.

From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September, the History Festival at Hever Castle returns, bigger and better. Curated with support from Dr Owen Emmerson and Kate McCaffrey, this year’s programme focuses on the Tudor and Stuart eras. Highlights include talks from Prof Tracy Borman (The Stolen Crown) and Luke Pepera (Motherland: A Journey through African Culture), plus a wide range of engaging speakers, Q&As and book signings across the weekend.

Within the grounds of the Hever Castle Estate, there are two opportunities for you to stay the night with us.
Hever Castle has played host to many important events and celebrations for over 600 years. In 1903 when William Waldorf Astor set about restoring Hever Castle to its former glory, he added the Astor Wing, to accommodate his family and guests, before creating a lake and the spectacular Italian Garden to house his impressive collection of ancient Greek and Roman statuary.
