Signs of spring are appearing in the gardens and the days are getting warmer and longer!

Wolf Hall Costumes Now on Display

Discover the opulence of the Tudor court this year at Hever Castle with a unique display of historically accurate costumes from the acclaimed TV drama of Hilary Mantel’s final novel Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, telling the story of the Tudor Court from Thomas Cromwell’s perspective.

The costumes will be on display in the Castle until 2 November 2025. Castle & Gardens ticket required.

Dazzling Daffodils: 17 – 23 March

With close to 90,000 daffodil bulbs set to bloom across Hever Castle’s gardens this spring, feel uplifted by the cheerfulness of this exquisite bloom which symbolises new beginnings.

Come and learn how to create an eco, seasonal and foam free flower arrangement using daffodils and foliage (Mon – Fri at 11am).

Enjoy a self-led tour of the gardens and take in their beauty at your own pace or join one of the daily tours. Johnny Walkers, master grower of walkers bulbs and winner of 25 consecutive RHS Chelsea gold medals will be giving daffodil tours during the week (Mon-Fri) and the weekend tours will be led by Hever Castle’s gardeners.

NEW! Plant Fair: 23 March

Exciting news: Hever Castle is hosting it’s first ever Plant Fair event.

The Plant Fairs Roadshow is made up of a collective of nurseries from across the south east, and includes high profile independent nurseries including: Beechbridge Plants, Charleshurst Farm Nursery, Daisy Roots, Eleplants, Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Hedgehog Plants, H W Hyde & Sons, Jacques Armand, Long Acre Plants, Madrona Nursery, Moore and Moore Plants, Pelham Plants, Phoenix Plants, Plantbase, Riverside Bulbs, Swallowfield Nursery, Branching Out, and The No Name Nursery. They will be supported with hardware and tools by Dan Cooper Gardens, Tom Critchley’s Garden Supports and the innovative products from The Wool Shed.

Mother’s Day Weekend: 29 & 30 March

Show mum, or that special mother figure in your life, just how much you care with a wonderful family day out to Hever Castle on Mother’s Day Weekend.

Experience a luxury afternoon tea in the oak panelled Tudor Suite, overlooking the picturesque Castle and formal lawns. Choose from 12:30 or 14:30, sittings lasting 1.5 hours.

Enjoy a spot of shopping with a wonderful selection of seasonal plants, local food and drink, books and unique gifts and mementoes. Gift vouchers are also available for overnight stays, annual membership or day visits on the online shop. 

Easter Family Fun: 5 – 21 April

This Easter and throughout the school holidays, enjoy some Easter family fun at Hever Castle.

Help head gardener Mr Miller track down some cheeky rabbits who’ve caused chaos in the Castle gardens digging up vegetable patches, knocking over pots and stealing seeds from his prize-winning carrots. These playful troublemakers have now set up a tea party and it is your challenge to find where the rabbits have caused havoc! Armed with a trail map, explore the gardens to solve the puzzle and claim your chocolate reward.

There’s a variety of Easter-themed craft activities for children to enjoy from making your own origami fortune teller to planting cress to take home and grow. Themed face painting is available for select dates during the Easter holidays.

Celebration of Spring: 31 March – 5 May

From blossoms to bluebells, Hever Castle & Gardens have got spring covered this year with a colourful celebration that promises to delight.

With thousands of tulips, spring bedding, cherry and apple blossom galore, magnolias, early rhododendrons, hyacinths, camassias and bluebells, there’s much to celebrate in the grounds.

Enjoy self-guided tours from 31 March – 5 May, and during the week of 22 – 27 April, the gardening team will be leading tours, providing a unique insight into the celebration of spring at Hever, and offering gardening tips and advice.

Plus learn how to create a living wreath with spring flowers and foliage from 28 April – 2 May.

Christmas in the Land of Oz

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Hever Castle this Christmas

In 2025, Christmas at Hever Castle will transport you to the magical world of The Wizard of Oz. Step into an enchanting journey through iconic moments from the book, where twinkling lights, festive cheer, and popular characters bring this timeless tale to life.

The Festival Theatre at Hever Castle

Experience an unforgettable season of live entertainment as the Festival Theatre returns to the stunning grounds of Hever Castle for its 44 year. There is a diverse programme of events including Shakespeare, opera, tribute acts, puppet shows, silent discos, plays and family-friendly performances.

The season runs from April to July, returning for an Autumn season of events beginning, with the Last Night of the Hever Proms on Saturday, 13 September and finishing the year with indoor Christmas performances from November.

Spring Stays
