Tulip Celebrations

Be uplifted by 7000 tulip bulbs proudly standing to attention and providing a visual feast of spring colour. Hever Castle’s inaugural tulip event Tulip Celebrations will take place on April 24 – 28 and May 2 – 7 (excluding bank holiday weekend).

Visitors to this brand new event will be able to collect a leaflet and enjoy a self-guided tulip trail throughout the grounds. For an even more immersive experience, free tulip garden tours will also be available with Hever Castle’s head gardener Neil Miller at 11:30 each day.

The epitome of elegance, tulips look spectacular planted en masse in either a kaleidoscope of mixed colours or in a uniform colour palette. Wander through the grounds and marvel at the thousands of tulips, in 60 varieties, planted outside the Castle, in the Tudor Garden and throughout the Italian Garden.

Free tulip talks will also take place daily at 14:00, allowing visitors to learn more about this stunning bulb.

Follow a trail of thousands of snowdrops starting to emerge from their winter hibernation on our Snowdrop Walk – the first sign that spring is just around the corner.

With over 60,000 snowdrop bulbs planted in the Gardens over the past six years, Snowdrop Walk will provide a welcome boost to flagging winter spirits.

Then stroll through the gardens and enjoy the early blossoms of camellia and quince.

19 February – 26 March: Wednesday – Sunday only.

*We recommend that you wear suitable footwear such as Wellington boots as the ground may be boggy in places.
