It’s that time of year again! With welcoming log fires, and beautiful decorations in the Castle, a Wizard of Oz themed Christmas trail to follow and the chance to see Father Christmas – be enchanted by the magic of Christmas at Hever.
Tickets go on sale to Annual Members at 11am on Wednesday 24 September and then tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Wednesday 1 October.
Head to Hever Castle in September for a contemporary autumn craft fair organised by Craft In Focus. Over the four days you will be able to purchase direct from around 180 of the UK’s finest professional craft makers and artists.
As the air turns crisp and a rich display of autumn colour envelops the countryside, pack your walking boots or wellies and head to Hever Castle to enjoy the crunch of leaves underfoot and spectacular autumn tints.
The Castle is arguably at its romantic best in the autumn when the Boston Ivy adorning the front of the Castle turns a vivid shade of red. You will be treated to glorious displays of autumn colour with the rich yellow, red and orange leaves of beech mingling with liquidambars, tulip trees and Japanese maples, all contributing to an explosion of colour.
Plus, throughout Autumn Colour, be entertained by a series of garden-inspired workshops and tours.
Treat your little ones to a spine-tingling visit to Hever Castle over the Half Term break.
Explore the Castle grounds on the Bones and Giggles Halloween Trail as you search for clues to claim your reward. Spot bony beings getting up to spooky mischief in the most entertaining scenes, including a skeleton party, pumpkin picking and camping. Look out for Halloween spooky characters roaming the grounds and be entertained with interactive stories along the way.
For those who want to get hands-on with Halloween, the themed craft sessions are the perfect opportunity to unleash your creativity.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Hever Castle, this action-packed event offers a huge variety of races for all ages and abilities – from first-timers to elite athletes. Whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines, the atmosphere is electric.
Across the weekend, the Event Village will come alive with live music, children’s activities, and a tempting array of locally sourced food, while the castle’s cafés will be serving everything from hot dishes to indulgent cakes.

The History Festival returns to Hever Castle from Friday 19 – Sunday 21 September with its biggest programme yet, featuring an inspiring line-up of eminent historians and authors.
To make the event more accessible, a Flash Sale will run from Thursday 11 – Monday 15 September (or until tickets sell out). During this time, tickets are just £17 for adults and free for students.
Curated by Dr Owen Emmerson and Kate McCaffrey, this year’s festival focuses on the Tudor and Stuart eras, with double-bill talks, Q&As and book signings from leading experts including Prof Tracy Borman, Dr Estelle Paranque, and Gareth Russell.
Visitors can also enjoy the castle’s award-winning gardens between sessions or add Castle entry to their day.

Hever Castle has played host to many important events and celebrations for over 600 years. In 1903 when William Waldorf Astor set about restoring Hever Castle to its former glory, he added the Astor Wing, to accommodate his family and guests, before creating a lake and the spectacular Italian Garden to house his impressive collection of ancient Greek and Roman statuary.
