Challenge yourself to the Bastion triathlon at Hever Castle and take part in a 3.8km swim, 180.2km cycle ride and a 42.2km run. For details and to enter please visit the Castle Triathlon website.
Not sure you’re up for the full distance? You can enter the Bastion as part of a team, or for the first time Castle Triathlon is also offering competitors the chance to enter each section separately in a bid to build up their abilities. For more information visit the Castle Triathlon website.
Road Closure – From Monday 6th July 2015 Hever Road will be closed for up to two weeks between the B2027 Clinton Lane and How Green Lane. During this time visitors will need to approach the Castle from the Uckfield Lane end.
Access for Visitors – The Bastion starts at 5am and will continue throughout the day. The swim is in the Lake and river and will be completed before the grounds open to visitors. Transition takes place on Half Moon Lawn and some of this area will be restricted. Cyclists and runners will be in the grounds during the day but due to the limited numbers of competitors and their varying abilities this is unlikely to impact your enjoyment of your visit.
