Celebrate May Day at Hever Castle & Gardens with a weekend of fun family activities and traditional May Day customs.
Have a go at Maypole dancing or watch demonstrations of this traditional folk dance as dancers intertwine brightly coloured ribbons around a tall, decorated pole to welcome the awakening of nature for the coming season.
Take part in an interactive traditional May Day play on the Castle forecourt and help the Green Man step into the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Join in with a tug of war, in the hope the Summer King will reign.
