For one day only, magical dragons are coming to Hever Castle.
Join us on Saturday 1 August as we’re delighted to welcome the team from Pete Dinosaur Hire, who will be bringing two very special visitors to the castle. Meet Sapphire, the friendly blue dragon, and Pumpkin, the adorable orange baby dragon, for a magical meet and greet that’s sure to delight children and grown ups alike.
Say hello, pose for a memorable photograph, and enjoy an enchanting encounter with these lovable dragons during your visit. Taking place as part of our Summer Holiday event, it’s the perfect addition to a family day out in Kent, with plenty more activities to enjoy throughout the day.
This special dragon experience is available for one day only and is included with admission, so don’t miss your chance to meet Sapphire and Pumpkin while they’re visiting Hever Castle.

As Hever Castle celebrates 40 years of jousting, children are invited to follow in the footsteps of legendary knights and begin their training under the guidance of King Arthur’s Court.
Through a series of interactive challenges and activities, aspiring knights will test their strength, courage and skill while learning the values of chivalry, teamwork and bravery. Young squires can take part in hobby horse jousting, knightly training and medieval-inspired games before completing their adventure with a memorable photo opportunity at the legendary Sword in the Stone.
