Mother’s Day Weekend 21 & 22 March
Update 22/3/20 – The Gardens and Grounds are now closed for Sunday 22nd March. A more detailed announcement will be made a.s.a.p.
The health of all our visitors and members is important to us, therefore we have made the decision to cancel these Mother’s Day activities:
• Pre-booked afternoon teas have been cancelled as they involve gatherings of members of families from different households in a more crowded environment
• Face Painting, Cupcake Decorating and Keyring Making
Refunds will be available to anyone that has pre-booked afternoon tea and we will be in contact a.s.a.p.
You can still show your mum just how much you love her with a wonderful family day out to Hever Castle on Mother’s Day Weekend. Enjoy the fresh air and some gentle exercise in over 150 acres of grounds at the Castle & Gardens. Food outlets will be open but ‘social distancing’ will be in place along with a number of additional measures.
Feel uplifted with over 38,000 daffodil bulbs blooming across the gardens and the heady scent of hyacinths in Blue Corner. Marvel at the Pompeiian Wall and classical statuary in the Italian Garden and admire the giant topiary chess set in the Tudor Garden.
The Loggia, overlooking the 38-acre lake, is the perfect spot to relax before exploring the many cascades, grottoes and fountains. Wander further afield and enjoy Sunday Walk and Church Gill Walk that follow the course of a stream through peaceful woodland or Anne Boleyn’s Walk, with its impressive collection of trees planted more than 100 years ago. Park Wood has also been opened so that an additional 25 acres of outside space is available to all our visitors.
Hever Castle is monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation carefully and regularly. We continue to adhere to and are following current Government advice.
Our focus will remain on ensuring a safe visit and keeping the estate open for visitors/members/guests to appreciate. Enjoying the healthy benefits of fresh air and experiencing the changing season is incredibly uplifting and essential to many.
