BASTION TRIATHLON 10 JULY
Challenge yourself to the Bastion triathlon at Hever Castle and take part in a 3.8km swim, 180.2km cycle ride and a 42.2km run. For details and to enter please visit the Castle Triathlon website.
Not sure you’re up for the full distance? You can enter the Bastion as part of a team, or for the first time Castle Triathlon is also offering competitors the chance to enter each section separately in a bid to build up their abilities. For more information visit the Castle Triathlon website.
As well as the Bastion triathlon, we’ll also be hosting the Hever Gaunlet Half-iron Triathlon. The Gaunlet is comprised of a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and a 21km run.
There are some new Castle Triathlon events coming to Hever Castle too, including: the Hever long distance swim compromising of either 1.9km or 3.8km, the Hever long distance aquabike with two options of either a 1.9k swim and 60k cycle or 3.8k swim and 120k cycle. As well as that, we’ll also be hosting the Hever long distance aquathlon with the shorter distance being 1.9k swim with a 10k run or the longer distance of a 3.8k swim followed by a 21k run. Access for Visitors – The Bastion starts at 5am and will continue throughout the day. The swim is in the Lake and river and will be completed by 11.30am. Transition takes place on Half Moon Lawn and some of this area will be restricted. Cyclists and runners will be in the grounds during the day but due to the limited numbers of competitors and their varying abilities this is unlikely to impact your enjoyment of your visit.
