Audio guides now included for Castle visitors

January 10 2020 | Castle History

Visitors coming to Hever Castle in 2020 can now have an interactive audio guide included in their Castle entry.

Bring 700 years of Hever Castle history to life; be guided through the rooms of the castle with a lively insight into how life might have been in Tudor times when Henry VIII came courting Anne Boleyn at her family home. Discover more about the fine collection of portraits, painting, tapestries and artefacts and learn how William Waldorf Astor, the American millionaire, restored the Castle to how it is today.

The interactive guides, which include a commentary from historian Dr David Starkey on the Long Gallery exhibition, are available in English, French, German, Dutch, Russian and Chinese. Find out more here.

The interactive audio guide lasts approximately 45 minutes.

From 8th February when the historic venue opens for the Spring season interactive audio guides will be included as part of the cost of entry into the Castle (previously they were an extra charge). For full opening times click here.

For school groups, children’s interactive audio guides are also available, in English only.
