part time housekeeping assistants – ASTOR WING 

The Astor Wing at Hever Castle is recruiting for part-time housekeeping assistants, required for immediate start to cover the increasing business across the Estate.

You are responsible within a small team for the day to day cleanliness of the Castle, Astor Wing and all areas associated with it. You will need a hands-on approach and ability to work as part of a team or individually. You will also undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head Housekeeper/Deputy Head Housekeeper/Manager on duty.

Weekend and Bank Holidays will be part of your normal working routine and will be incorporated into your rota. Candidates must be enthusiastic and motivated!

Hever Castle is looking for a full-time house porter to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who strive to exceed customers’ expectations. You will need a hand’s on approach, the ability to work under pressure and competence to work as part of a team or individually.

An opportunity has opened to join the Greenkeeping Team at Hever Castle Golf Club, this is an outside job role in all weathers.

The job role itself will be to contribute to the day-to-day maintenance and the development of the Golf Course and the Castle Estate to a very high standard.

This job is of a physical nature, with a full-time contract on offer and includes working weekends (mornings) on a rota basis, no accommodation is offered with this position.

Previous experience to NVQ Level 2 in Amenity Sportsturf or equivalent would be an advantage, but not essential as an apprenticeship may be made available to gain this qualification to the right candidate.

However, the following skills would be essential:

– The ability to work individually and as part of a team
– A flexible approach to work as early starts and weekend work is required
– Reliable and hard working with excellent presentation skills and attention to detail
– A positive attitude with good time management and communication skills
– A current full driving licence

This position would suit someone at the start of their Greenkeeping career or someone wishing to have a career within the sportsturf industry.
