Historic Encounters

Experience over 600 years of history at the romantic double-moated 14th century castle in Kent, once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and Mother of Elizabeth I.

Anne Boleyn is not the only wife of Henry VIII to have a connection with Hever Castle, Anne of Cleves also spent a significant amount of time at the historic attraction.

The Castle is also testament to the remarkable efforts of a wealthy American, William Waldorf Astor, who used his fortune to restore and extend the Castle in the early 20th century. The story of the Astor family is told on the ground floor of the Castle.

We recommend that you allow 1 hour to explore the Castle. Interactive audio guides are included with Castle entry.

Hever Castle & Gardens is the perfect setting for enjoying time alone or with family and friends.
