The beautiful gardens at Hever Castle were laid out between 1904 and 1908 turning what was then marshland into the spectacular Gardens you see today. The Winter Garden Lawn is a private lawn located moat side and allows for a marquee of up to 600 guests.
Given the nature and age of the Hever Castle estate, we request that wedding couples interested in a marquee wedding use one of two nominated marquee suppliers who understand the nature of our estate and whom we know and trust to look after not just our stunning venue but also our guests.
Catering must be provided by the on site catering team unless non-European cuisine is required, for which we have a list of nominated suppliers.

The stunning bedrooms at Hever Castle, recently refurbished and fit for a king, have been graded five stars by Quality in Tourism. Expect period colours, panelled walls, vaulted ceilings. Several rooms boast four posted beds and roll top baths. All offer luxury, antique furnishings and rich fabrics. Some rooms have stunning views across the formal lawns of The Astor Wing; all are en suite with period features combined with modern day luxury.
Wedding couples hiring The Winter Garden Lawn for a marquee wedding reception are requested to use the Hever Castle catering team unless an ethnic cuisine is required for which a list of nominated suppliers will be supplied.
Using only fresh, and when possible, local produce, our menu’s offer an eclectic array of dishes complementing most tastes. Should you have any specific requirements, our Chef would be happy to discuss them with you and create your perfect menu.

Hever Castle has played host to many important events and celebrations for over 600 years. In 1903 when William Waldorf Astor set about restoring Hever Castle to its former glory, he added the Astor Wing, to accommodate his family and guests, before creating a lake and the spectacular Italian Garden to house his impressive collection of ancient Greek and Roman statuary.
