Visitors to Hever Castle can now enjoy more sustainable coffee: Blend 53.
All coffees served in The Moat and Pavilion Restaurants and the kiosks onsite are made with Blend 53, a Rainforest Alliance certified coffee with 100% recyclable packaging.
Beans for the coffee are sourced from Brazil, Sumatra and Colombia.
Every coffee bought also helps to raise funds for Foodinate, a social enterprise helping to tackle food poverty and homelessness in the UK.
Foodinate ensures that every Foodinate-selected drink or meal consumed in linked restaurants results in a meal for a local person in need at no extra cost to customers.
Sales of the coffees sees donations to Foodinate who in turn support a local charity.
General Manager Ian Goodwin said: “We are always looking for ways to becoming more sustainable. Blend 53 not only tastes great but means we can reduce our environmental impact and support local charities helping people struggling in the current economic climate.”
